Aryat is a visual reflection on radical presence and the mythology of self-creation. The series explores dualities: masculinity and femininity, sacred and profane, Blackness and artificiality, building your own iconography , especially as a queer Black person and reclaiming how you’re represented. More than portraiture, ‘Aryat’ is prophecy: an offering, a mirror, and a challenge.
